YG Entertainment announced the recruitment of the 6th V.I.P (the group’s fandom name) on May 18 through BIGBANG’s official SNS channels. This marks the first time the group has recruited for its official fan club in about 11 years, since the 5th generation back in 2015.
Fans can join through the BIGBANG official community on the global fandom platform bstage. Membership perks include priority booking for world tour tickets, access to the exclusive fan club community and content, and the ability to purchase official merchandise.
YG stated, “To celebrate the meaningful 20th anniversary of BIGBANG’s debut, we are recruiting the official fan club to connect more closely with the fans who have shown unchanging love for a long time.” They added, “We ask for your high expectations for BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary project, where the artists and fans will serve as milestones for one another.”
Since their debut in 2006, BIGBANG has been loved for numerous hits including ‘Lies’, ‘Loser’, ‘Fantastic Baby’, and ‘Bang Bang Bang’. While they originally debuted as a five-member group, they are currently active as a trio consisting of G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, following the departures of Seungri and T.O.P.
