BTS’s ‘ARIRANG’ is making waves as every single track has remained on the Spotify charts for six consecutive weeks!
According to the latest weekly charts from global streaming platform Spotify (tracking period: April 24 to April 30), ‘ARIRANG’ secured 2nd place on the ‘Weekly Top Albums Global,’ maintaining a top spot for six weeks. The title track ‘SWIM’ climbed one spot to take 2nd place on the ‘Weekly Top Songs Global.’ Even more impressive, all 14 tracks from the new album have charted for six weeks, proving the album’s massive popularity. ‘SWIM’ also ranked 2nd on the ‘Daily Top Songs Global’ (as of April 30), staying in the top 3 for 42 consecutive days.
On the UK Official Charts (May 1 to May 7), ‘ARIRANG’ landed at 17th on the ‘Official Albums Top 100,’ staying on the charts for its sixth week since release. ‘SWIM’ reached 41st on the ‘Official Singles Top 100.’ The group also performed well on detailed charts, ranking 22nd in ‘Official Singles Download,’ 29th in ‘Official Singles Sales,’ and 22nd in ‘Official Album Streaming.’ Notably, they jumped eight spots to 12th on the ‘Official Physical Albums’ chart and re-entered the ‘Official Vinyl Albums’ chart at 18th, showing that the hype is far from over.
The momentum continues in Australia and France, where they’ve held top 10 positions for six weeks. The new album ranked 7th on Australia’s ARIA ‘Top 50 Albums’ (as of May 4) and 9th on France’s SNEP ‘Top Albums’ (April 24 to April 30). Official certifications are also pouring in due to explosive sales. They earned ‘Gold’ certifications (Week 17, 2026) from Italy’s FIMI and Spain’s EPDM, representing over 25,000 and 20,000 units sold, respectively. In France, SNEP awarded a ‘Platinum’ certification for sales equivalent to 100,000 copies, combining physical sales, downloads, and streaming.
In Japan, ‘ARIRANG’ reclaimed the top spot on Oricon’s ‘Weekly Digital Album Ranking’ (as of May 4, tracking period: April 20 to April 26) after five weeks. Since debuting at #1 on March 30, it has stayed in the top 5 for six consecutive weeks. In a surprise twist, the 2017 track ‘Crystal Snow’ from their 8th Japanese single hit #1 on the ‘Weekly Streaming Surge Ranking,’ while ‘MIC Drop’ from the same year ranked 8th. This surge is believed to be the result of their concerts at the Tokyo Dome on April 17 and 18. Additionally, the new track ‘2.0’ ranked 10th on the ‘Weekly Streaming Ranking.’
Meanwhile, BTS is currently on their ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN NORTH AMERICA,’ which kicked off in Tampa, USA, on April 25 (local time). They are set to perform at the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso on May 2 and 3. Local reports expect the performances to generate an economic impact of approximately 110.5 billion KRW.
