In the web variety show ‘Zzanhan Hyung’ released on the 18th, I.O.I members Jeon Somi, Choi Yoojung, Chungha, and Yoo Yeonjung came together for a chat.
The members looked back on their time on ‘Produce 101’. Chungha shared, “I had gone through so many harder times during my days as a dancer that I felt calm during filming. When the writers asked, ‘Why aren’t you crying?’ I just asked, ‘Is it time to cry?'”
Yoo Yeonjung added, “I think that’s why she was able to debut. She’s usually very calm, but she completely transforms once she’s on stage. That’s what made her even more popular.”
Chungha revealed the pressure she felt, saying, “I went into it thinking it was my last chance. I was an adult at the time, and my family’s financial situation wasn’t great, so if this didn’t work out, I would have had to start working part-time jobs just to make a living. I didn’t want to be swayed by anything.”
