“Cold-Handsome Boss” Seo In-guk and “Burnout Employee” Park Ji-hyun to Star in tvN’s ‘Going to Work Tomorrow!’ this June

‘Going to Work Tomorrow!’ has officially kicked off its journey as a relatable romantic comedy, revealing a script reading where the chemistry between leads Seo In-guk and Park Ji-hyun truly shined.

Following ‘Becoming a Legend of the Cooking Soldier’, the new tvN Mon-Tue drama ‘Going to Work Tomorrow!’ (Written by Kim Kyung-min, Directed by Jo Eun-sol) will premiere on Monday, June 22 at 8:50 PM. The story follows Cha Ji-yoon, a 7-year employee suffering from daily boredom, and her prickly boss Kang Si-woo as they become each other’s irreplaceable bests, bringing back the excitement in both work and love. Based on the romance webtoon of the same name from McQueen Studio, which has amassed 200 million views, the drama aims to capture both empathy and heart-fluttering moments through the emotional flow between work and relationships.

The recent script reading brought together the main cast and production team, including Seo In-guk, Park Ji-hyun, Kang Mi-na, Choi Kyung-hoon, and Won Gyu-bin. As the reading began, the actors naturally blended into their characters, clearly depicting the relationships and flow between them while elevating the atmosphere with lively “tiki-taka” dialogue and subtle emotional lines.

“Romance master” Seo In-guk takes on the role of Kang Si-woo, the cold and principle-driven direct supervisor of Cha Ji-yoon (Park Ji-hyun). True to his nickname “3NO Man” (No smile, No people, No sorry), he adds depth to the character by portraying the human side hidden behind a sensitive, prickly, and cold exterior with perfectly paced acting. Park Ji-hyun plays Cha Ji-yoon, a 7-year K-employee worn down by company life and reality, leading the drama with stability through her signature delicate expression and realistic acting.

It is reported that the two actors naturally established the starting point of their relationship narrative, convincingly building the distance and emotional shifts between their characters despite it being their first time working together. The subtle tension and excitement between the cold boss and the burnt-out employee have raised expectations for the romance to unfold.

Joining them, Kang Mi-na adds bright energy and tempo to the show as 5-year K-employee Yoon No-ah. Choi Kyung-hoon plays Jo Ga-eul, Cha Ji-yoon’s first love and an aspiring singer/band vocalist, bringing the character to life with a free-spirited and unique performance. Won Gyu-bin plays Lee Jae-in, a bold younger man who approaches Yoon No-ah without hesitation, increasing the heart-fluttering factor with his honest and confident charm. The intricate relationships centered around Kang Si-woo and Cha Ji-yoon were clearly revealed, and the natural ensemble chemistry on set reportedly caught everyone’s attention.

The production team of ‘Going to Work Tomorrow!’ stated, “It was a time to confirm a synergy beyond our expectations, where the perfect harmony of the actors met a solid script. We will come to you with a realistic story that any office worker can relate to, along with a heart-fluttering romance, so please look forward to it.”
