Director Ko Seung-hyun's 'Spending the Same Season' Selected for Jeonju International Film Festival's Korean Competition!

The film ‘Spending the Same Season’ captures the journey of Sehun and Jeong-i, a couple with very different ways of expressing their affection. Starting in winter and cycling through all four seasons back to winter, the movie delicately portrays how the time a couple spends together is remembered and eventually fades away.

Kim Hyo-jung, a programmer for the Jeonju International Film Festival, described the work as a “post-melodrama” that focuses on a couple slowly drifting toward a breakup rather than a typical romance about love blossoming. She praised it as a “precious work that shows a narrative achievement in the melodrama genre, which is rarely seen in recent Korean independent films.”

Meanwhile, the 27th Jeonju International Film Festival will continue around the Jeonju Movie Street until the 8th. The film will make its world premiere during the festival, with screenings scheduled for May 4 at 5 PM and May 6 at 5:30 PM at Megabox Jeonju Gaeksa Hall 2.
