An online press conference for the KBS2 variety show ‘Noona is a Woman to Me’ Season 2 was held on the morning of the 22nd. Han Hye-jin, Jang Wooyoung, DinDin, and PD Park Jin-woo attended the event.
‘Noona is a Woman to Me’ Season 2 is a dating reality show featuring the romance between “noonas” who haven’t found love yet due to their intense focus on their careers, and younger men who believe age is just a number when it comes to love.
Regarding the production of Season 2 following Season 1, PD Park Jin-woo hinted, “This season is about keeping what works and letting go of what doesn’t. Please give it a lot of love.” He added, “I tried to provide intuitive fun and immersion. There’s a bit more dopamine added compared to Season 1.”
While Han Hye-jin, Hwang Woo-seul-hye, Jang Wooyoung, and Tomorrow X Together’s Soobin hosted the previous season, Han Hye-jin, Jang Wooyoung, and DinDin will serve as the MCs for this season.
About DinDin, the PD mentioned, “His attitude and way of speaking are unfiltered and direct. I’ve always wanted to bring him on board. I thought he would bring a different color to our program.” He added, “He said he’s skilled at flirting and can win over most women, and I felt we needed the perspective of a younger brother who actually grew up being hit by two older sisters.”
Introduced as a flirting pro, DinDin immediately flirted with Han Hye-jin, asking, “I feel like you wouldn’t find me worthy. Are you interested?” and followed up with, “Contact me if you think of me.” Han Hye-jin responded, “He can’t even make eye contact when the cameras are off.”
DinDin shared his reason for joining, saying, “I don’t even watch the shows I’m on. I heard about Season 1 through articles and thought it was a fresh format. I was asked to be a guest for Season 1, but the schedule didn’t work out, so I was curious when I was offered the MC role for Season 2.” He added, “I dated older women when I was young, and I wanted to reminisce about those times. It was fun to share my experiences, as it felt like going back 10 years.”
He raised expectations for the show, saying, “The dopamine levels have definitely gone up. The progression is so fast that the dopamine explodes like a Short. I really loved that part.”
He further added, “Since many contestants with different charms will appear this time, I think it would be great to watch with anticipation. Since older-woman, younger-man dating has become a trend, I hope the show goes up to Season 14.”
Jang Wooyoung, who joined the second season alongside Han Hye-jin, shared his thoughts: “I was just relieved and happy to hear there would be a Season 2. Personally, I loved the vibe of Season 1, so I was full of anticipation for Season 2. I’m just purely happy to be part of it.”
Han Hye-jin, who is close with Go So-hyun (a final couple member from Season 1), was asked if there’s anyone she’d recommend appearing on the show. She replied, “I strongly recommend Kim Sook and Hong Jin-kyung, who went together.”
When PD Park Jin-woo mentioned he has a fantasy about older women, the host suggested, “When Kim Sook and Hong Jin-kyung appear, PD-nim should appear as the younger man.” Han Hye-jin then added Kim Sook, Hong Jin-kyung, herself, and creator Pungja to the mix, saying, “If KBS doesn’t program it, let’s do it on YouTube.” Jang Wooyoung added to the laughter, saying, “If it goes well, those ladies might even start a broadcasting station for you.”
‘Noona is a Woman to Me’ Season 2 will premiere on the 23rd at 10:40 PM.
