Actress Go Hyun Jung shared a personal struggle, revealing that she hasn’t been able to eat freely since undergoing a major surgery.
On the 7th, a video titled ‘Taming Go Hyun Jung’ dropped on Kang Min Kyung’s YouTube channel, featuring the star.
Go Hyun Jung opened up, sharing, “After a major emergency surgery in 2020, the hospital decided to monitor me. They sutured the area connecting my duodenum and pancreas, and I also had stomach issues; it was quite complex.” She explained that she managed her health well with medication, but unfortunately collapsed in 2024 due to immense stress.

She recounted a terrifying experience, saying, “I needed to go to the hospital, but the emergency room wasn’t admitting just anyone. They wouldn’t take patients who weren’t undergoing CPR. Eventually, my condition became unbearable, and they finally admitted me.”
Go Hyun Jung candidly shared her struggles with eating due to her health, explaining, “People tell me I have no energy, and it’s true, I really don’t. I used to love food, but now it just doesn’t go down well. I adore gimbap, but I can only manage two or three pieces. I’m so afraid something bad will happen if I eat, and I absolutely dread getting a stomachache from food.”
She continued, “The hospital keeps telling me to eat even when I don’t want to, and it’s really depressing. People say you live on the strength of food as you get older, right? Some think I’m on an extreme diet, but how could I possibly diet when my health is so unstable? That’s absolutely not the case.”
In other news, Go Hyun Jung graced our screens last year in the SBS drama ‘Mantis: A Killer’s Outing’.
