Actress Han Sun-hwa shared her first impressions of the script for her upcoming movie ‘Student Teaching’.

During an interview held on the 6th at a cafe in Palpan-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Han Sun-hwa discussed various aspects of the film ‘Student Teaching’ (directed by Kim Min-ha).

‘Student Teaching’ is a high school horror-lovely comedy featuring Eun-gyeong (played by Han Sun-hwa), a passionate MZ student teacher who must face a deadly mock exam against a CSAT ghost, alongside girls from a black magic club.

In the film, Han Sun-hwa takes on the role of the energetic student teacher, Eun-gyeong.

Han Sun-hwa started by saying, “We filmed last year, and I’m so grateful that it’s being released so quickly this year.”

She added, “Since it’s releasing in May, which includes the meaningful Teacher’s Day, I feel an even greater sense of mission and purpose.”

Director Kim Min-ha, who helmed ‘Student Teaching’, previously garnered attention for the bold direction in ‘Ameba Girls and School Ghost Stories: School Anniversary’.

Han Sun-hwa laughed, recalling, “When I appeared in ‘Work Later, Drink Now’, I was surprised and wondered, ‘Is this line actually possible?’ But ‘Student Teaching’ was even more surprising—in a good way!”

She explained, “The script includes lines like ‘Kkyu?’ and ‘This is insane!’ I became incredibly curious about the tone and manner of the movie and how the director wanted those lines delivered,” adding that she ended up meeting with the director for over two hours.

Han Sun-hwa also noted, “I felt that Director Kim Min-ha’s ‘Ameba Girls and School Ghost Stories: School Anniversary’ was truly unique. I felt they were someone with a very clear directorial style, which made me curious to collaborate and eventually join the project.”

‘Student Teaching’ is set to premiere on the 13th.
