“I Sincerely Declare”: The Heartwarming Story Behind Choi Jun-hee’s Wedding Script

Event MC Han Dong-wook took to Instagram on the 16th to share, “I wrote the wedding script for the bride Choi Jun-hee, the beloved daughter of actress Choi Jin-sil.” He added that this was a project he held onto for a particularly long time from the moment he was first contacted.

He also shared some of the text messages he exchanged with Choi Jun-hee. While he was initially asked to both write the script and host the ceremony, he couldn’t attend as the MC due to prior commitments. He described Choi Jun-hee as “a girl full of laughter and playfulness,” adding, “That’s why I wanted to capture the couple’s time in a more natural and warmer way.”

In particular, he revealed that the marriage declaration was completed after much deliberation and several revisions. He recalled, “There was one sentence I agonized over the most while working on the declaration: ‘I sincerely declare.’ To some, it might just be a short sentence, but for this ceremony, I didn’t want the meaning behind those words to pass by easily. That’s why I spent more time on it and revised the sentence over and over until the end.”

Previously, Choi Jun-hee held her wedding ceremony on the 16th at a location in Seoul, marrying a non-celebrity who is 11 years her senior. Comedian Jo Se-ho served as the MC, and singer Sohyang performed the congratulatory song. Choi Jun-hee caught everyone’s attention as she entered the venue holding hands with her brother, Choi Hwan-hee.

Meanwhile, Choi Jun-hee is the daughter of the late Choi Jin-sil and the late former baseball player Cho Sung-min. Choi Jin-sil married Cho Sung-min in 2000 and had a son, Choi Hwan-hee, and a daughter, Choi Jun-hee. The couple divorced in 2004, and Choi Jin-sil and Cho Sung-min passed away in 2008 and 2013, respectively.
