As LE SSERAFIM celebrates their 4th anniversary, the members looked back on the moments they relied on each other most, sharing their deep trust and affection.
LE SSERAFIM (Sakura, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae, Huh Yunjin) recently held an interview in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their second full-length album, ‘PUREFLOW’ pt.1.
During the interview, Huh Yunjin opened up, saying, “I think I felt the strong bond and sisterhood with the members most during the moments when I personally felt the most embarrassed and ashamed.”
Recalling a difficult time, she shared, “While practicing for the year-end award ceremonies last year, I suddenly burst into tears. I wondered if I was feeling afraid of the act of singing and standing on stage itself.”
She continued, “I was scared and ashamed of people finding out about those feelings. Part of me wanted to hide alone, but at the same time, I wanted to lean on the members even more. I felt that if I opened up honestly, they would understand and be a source of strength for me.”
Huh Yunjin added, “By actually talking to the members, I was able to look deeper into myself and gain the courage to move forward again. Through that experience, I felt how precious the members are, and I became confident that we can continue to grow together.”
Sakura also described the relationship within LE SSERAFIM as being “like family and sisters.” She laughed, adding, “We actually see each other more often than our own families. Since they are people I have to keep seeing even when I want to be alone, they really feel like family.”
She further explained, “Rather than trying to change one another, we talk a lot about acknowledging and understanding each other’s differences. That is why we often say we are like sisters.”
LE SSERAFIM’s second full-length album, ‘PUREFLOW’ pt.1, will be released today at 1 PM. The new album captures an attitude of acknowledging fear and moving forward, based on the strength derived from their tight-knit bond.
