Model-turned-entertainer Jang Yoon Ju shared her thoughts on serving as a judge for ‘Kill It’.
On the 19th, a media talk for the tvN variety show ‘Kill It: Style Creator Great War’ was held at the CJ ENM Talent Studio in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by Jang Yoon Ju, Cha Jung Won, Ahn Ah Reum, and CP Lee Won Hyung.

Jang Yoon Ju is returning to a fashion survival program for the first time in about 12 years since the end of ‘Korea’s Next Top Model GUYS & GIRLS’ in 2014. She stated, “These days, there are many people who want to become their own brand and do influential work. I wanted to support those dreams. I joined with the hope that I could be of some help.”
She continued, “When I hosted ‘Korea’s Next Top Model’ for five years, pass or fail was decided by a single photo, and the focus was on selecting high-end fashion models. However, so much has changed over the last 10 years. Now, it is an era where you must have the ability to become your own brand and create content to survive.”
She also explained, “Since ‘Kill It’ is divided into three labels, it feels like the mentors are competing as well. You will understand what I mean as the episodes progress. We are smiling now, but we are actually competitors. It has a vibe similar to ‘Show Me The Money’ or ‘Street Woman Fighter’.” She added that the program is like a “culmination of all survival shows.”

Regarding the program’s title, CP Lee Won Hyung introduced it by saying, “‘Kill It’ is used not just to mean ‘to kill,’ but also to mean ‘doing something really well’ or ‘looking cool.’ It carries the meaning of finding the next generation of style icons.” He added, “Since K-content is loved worldwide, I thought K-fashion was next. It was planned with the intention of discovering the most outstanding figures among K-fashion creators.”
CP Lee shared, “I have produced lifestyle content such as ‘Korea’s Next Top Model,’ ‘Top Gear,’ and ‘Get It Beauty,’ but after a break, I wanted to create a new trend.” He analyzed, “Compared to ‘Korea’s Next Top Model’ 10 years ago, fashion trends have completely changed. In the past, supermodels and star designers led the industry, but now, various people are creating trends through their lifestyles and fashion based on SNS.”
‘Kill It’ airs every Tuesday at 10:10 PM on tvN.
