Actress Jeon Yeo-been is set to star in the ENA drama ‘Hok-haneun Romance’!
On the 15th, Jeon Yeo-been’s agency, Management mmm, announced the casting news. Directed by Lee Chang-min and written by Lee Re, the drama tells the story of a star anchor facing early menopause and a rival “third-rate” writer. While trying to save a show with the lowest ratings, the two unexpectedly revive their long-dormant romance cells.
Jeon Yeo-been will play Seo Hae-yoon, a scriptwriter at the YCB broadcasting station. Seo Hae-yoon is known for being responsible and resilient, always putting the protection of her juniors above her own interests.
However, her nickname is the “Ssammai Writer,” meaning “third-rate.” Having spent over 10 years hopping between various newsrooms, she has become obsessed with ratings, often dealing with sensational and gossip-heavy news.
Her life takes a turn when she suddenly crosses paths with Na Yi-jun (played by Jung Kyung-ho), the perfect and polished face of YCB news. The two unexpectedly find themselves in the same boat. Jeon Yeo-been is expected to bring a sly and natural charm to the role of Seo Hae-yoon.
While she showed sharp charisma and solemnity in her previous work ‘Good Woman Bu Se-mi’, this time she will deliver a realistic, relatable performance that promises to bring both laughter and heart-fluttering moments to everyone.
‘Hok-haneun Romance’ is scheduled to air on ENA in the first half of next year and will also be available via Genie TV.
