Park Jung-ah, Lee Ji-hyun, and Seo In-young of Jewelry have reunited, but the empty spot where Jo Min-ah should be is once again drawing attention.
On May 6, a video titled “The powerful Seo In-young can’t do anything against Jewelry’s older sisters (+Park Jung-ah, Lee Ji-hyun)” was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘개과천선 서인영’.
In the video, Seo In-young shared a sincere conversation with Park Jung-ah and Lee Ji-hyun. Now mothers, Park Jung-ah and Lee Ji-hyun bonded over the struggles of parenting and even expressed concern about Seo In-young’s future children.
Lee Ji-hyun spoke about the meaning of Jewelry, saying, “Family. We didn’t realize it when we were together, but now that we live our own lives, I feel like we are a family that cannot be separated even when apart.” This emotional moment eventually left Seo In-young in tears.
Netizens reacted enthusiastically to the heartfelt conversation, commenting, “You can feel the affection,” “Park Jung-ah’s sense of responsibility shows,” “It’s clear the older sisters adore Seo In-young,” and “They really seem like family.” The video surpassed 1.7 million views just one day after its release.
Jewelry debuted in 2001 with Park Jung-ah, Lee Ji-hyun, Jung Yu-jin, and Jeon Eun-mi. After Jung Yu-jin and Jeon Eun-mi left, Jo Min-ah and Seo In-young joined in 2002, forming what is known as ‘Jewelry 2nd Gen’. They hit their peak with songs like ‘You’re Really Good’ and ‘Superstar’. Later, Lee Ji-hyun and Jo Min-ah left in 2006, while Seo In-young and Park Jung-ah remained active as Jewelry until 2009.
As the three members who shared their golden era chatted, curiosity grew once again regarding Jo Min-ah’s whereabouts.
Previously, when mentioning a Jewelry reunion, Seo In-young drew a line, saying, “There are reasons for it, but for starters, it’s not because of me,” adding, “Everyone thinks it’s all because of me. They think I’m the one whenever something goes wrong.”
Meanwhile, back in 2023, Jo Min-ah expressed her disappointment in a post, stating that Park Jung-ah, Lee Ji-hyun, and Seo In-young appeared on a broadcast without her. She wrote, “After the three of them appeared on a show, articles with titles like ‘Where is Jo Min-ah?’ and ‘Only Jo Min-ah is missing from the full Jewelry group’ didn’t stop.”
Later in March, she was embroiled in rumors of conflict after missing Seo In-young’s wedding, to which she expressed her frustration, claiming, “I wasn’t invited.” Furthermore, in July, she revealed, “There were false reports that I frequently suffered from panic disorder in my early 20s. At that time, it wasn’t panic disorder, but I was bullied within the group for over three years.”
