Singer Jung In has claimed an overwhelming victory on ‘Hidden Singer’, overcoming the concerns of her husband, Jo Jung-chi.
On the May 26 episode of JTBC’s ‘Hidden Singer 8’, a thrilling battle unfolded between Jung In and her sound-alike contestants.
During the final 4th round, where they performed Jung In’s hit song ‘Slope’, Kim Jo-han cheered “That’s right!” the moment Jung In appeared as contestant number 2.
On the other hand, when MC Jun Hyun-moo asked those who failed to find Jung In to confess, Kim Hae-jun cautiously raised his hand and admitted, “I picked number 3.” He sparked laughter by confessing, “I was walking the ‘Slope’ well until then, but suddenly I veered off into Garosu-gil. Eventually, I ended up walking the Jeju trail. I took the wrong turn.”
While Song Eun-i argued that Jung In added some vocal techniques, Jo Jung-chi noted, “I actually focused on the tone. Since Jung In sings this song so often, she might not have sung it exactly like the original.” Jo Jung-chi cautiously predicted the result, saying, “I think the voting results will be close. Jung In will probably win by a few votes.”
Then came the final result. Jung In earned a total of 69 votes, finally breaking the “female singer curse” that had previously affected singers like Younha, Kim Hyun-jung, and Lee Hae-ri. Expressing her joy, Jung In said, “I’m so happy that I wonder if I deserve this much blessing. I’m truly grateful.”
