Comedian Kwak Beom shared a hilarious story about how he accidentally insulted himself because he wasn’t up to speed with MZ slang.
During the May 14 broadcast of SBS Power FM’s ‘Cultwo Show’, Kwak Beom took over as the special DJ.
While reading stories from listeners who failed miserably while trying to use abbreviations, he decided to share his own embarrassing experience.
He revealed, “Recently, I didn’t know what the word ‘Bamti’ meant, so I’ve been going around calling myself ‘Bamti, Bamti.’ It turns out it means I’m ugly, but I didn’t know and was reacting happily to it.” When Kim Tae-gyun also didn’t know the meaning, Kwak Beom explained, “It’s used to describe someone who is unattractive or lacks visual appeal.” He then confessed, “Since I didn’t know, I just kept calling myself ‘Bamti’ on my own,” leaving everyone in stitches.
