LE SSERAFIM is aiming straight for the hearts of global fans with their incredible performance skills and delightful variety sense!
On May 25 and 26, LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) released two performance films for “BOOMPALA,” the title track of their second full-length album, via the HYBE Labels and official team YouTube channels.
The two released films offer a diverse visual feast, featuring completely opposite vibes in terms of background, outfits, and makeup.
The first film, shot at the Culture Depot Pavilion, takes place in a space where traces of the past and modern structures mysteriously coexist. The members appeared under bright lights in sophisticated beige outfits, boasting an ethereal, fairy-like beauty and polished visuals.
The second film uses the rough and vast natural landscape of a quarry in Gyeonggi-do as its backdrop. The five members wore chic all-black outfits for a unified look, and as intense red lighting was added toward the end, they showcased LE SSERAFIM’s signature overwhelming aura and girl-crush charm.
Through this new song, LE SSERAFIM expresses the message of not being trapped by anxiety and worries, but instead letting them flow flexibly and enjoying the present. The impressive intro, starting with the members sitting in a meditation pose on the floor, immediately grabs the viewer’s attention.

In particular, the chorus wittily incorporates the iconic point choreography from the global hit “Macarena,” adding a sense of familiarity. The intuitive and cheerful arm movements that anyone can easily follow create a powerful addiction.
The detailed facial expressions of the five members truly bring the stage to life. Starting with Kim Chaewon’s sly acting in the intro as she enjoys the music alone while glancing at the other members, the group delivers sharp, synchronized choreography, but then spreads positive energy by facing each other and smiling brightly during the “Macarena” arm-crossing section.
Beyond the performance, LE SSERAFIM’s innate variety sense is also catching eyes. The “Effects of BOOMPALA” video, released on their official YouTube channel on the 26th, is a piece of content that uses witty skits to show the effects of “BOOMPALA” (the song title and a spell for positivity) in daily life.
The members claimed that this word is immediately effective for facial muscle lifting, resolving conflicts with bosses, and boosting confidence. They played multiple roles, transforming into office workers commuting by subway and children listening to their parents’ nagging. They perfectly pulled off the comedic acting, instantly regaining inner peace and dancing whenever the “BOOMPALA” spell played, leaving global fans in stitches.
