Rapper MC Mong (Shin Dong-hyun, 46) is gearing up for a major reveal.
On the 18th, MC Mong took to social media to announce, “I will hold a live broadcast tonight at 8 PM with reporters to talk about past events and everything related to me.”
He further added, “I will reveal exactly who MBC’s ‘PD Notebook’ is colluding with for their reporting.”
Regarding Chairman Cha of Nexplan, MC Mong pointed to “Chairman Park, Chairman Lee, CEO Choi, and CEO Ahn” as members of an illegal ‘Baduki’ gambling ring involving billions of won, stating he would also expose the celebrities involved.
This move appears to be part of an ongoing conflict surrounding affair rumors with Chairman Cha Ga-won of One Hundred. In December 2025, both MC Mong and Chairman Cha denied the affair rumors and reports regarding KakaoTalk conversations, stating they would take legal action. On that same day, it was revealed that Chairman Cha had received a payment order for a loan repayment of 12 billion won from MC Mong.
The timing of this announcement is also drawing attention. It was previously reported that MC Mong violated the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act in 2022 by attempting to take 70,000 USD out of the country without declaration.
Additionally, in January, former Korean Medical Association president Lim Hyun-taek filed a complaint against him for violating the Narcotics Control Act and the Medical Service Act. The case was transferred from the Daejeon Seobu Police Station to the Seoul Gangnam Police Station, with investigations ongoing since February 25. At the time, MC Mong denied the allegations, stating, “It is true that I was prescribed sleeping pills, but the claim of a proxy prescription is not true.”
Chairman Cha, who was named in the allegations, is also embroiled in a separate dispute. He was sued by his older brother for violating the Act on Real Name Financial Transactions and forging a sales contract for Eterno Apgujeong. This case is separate from the gambling allegations claimed by MC Mong.
