‘Muming Jeonseol’ TOP7 Lee Chang-min: “My Roots are 2AM… I’ll Also Show You My Ballad Side”

'Muming Jeonseol' TOP7 Lee Chang-min:

A press conference for the TOP7 of MBN’s audition program ‘Muming Jeonseol’ was held on the 20th at the Shocking K-pop Center in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The TOP7 members in attendance were Sung-ri, Haru, Jang Han-byeol, Hwang Yun-sung, Jung Yeon-ho, Lee Chang-min, and Lee Rune.

‘Muming Jeonseol’, which concluded on the 13th, depicted a ranking battle among trot singers, ranging from unknown artists to those who were once famous but hadn’t reached legendary status, all striving to make a name for themselves.

Lee Chang-min finished the competition in 6th place. He shared, “I debuted in 2008, making this my 19th year as a ballad singer.”

He added, “2AM is my root, and I don’t think I would have had the chance to challenge myself on ‘Muming Jeonseol’ without them. They are still a beloved ballad group. Since I’m the eldest, I’ll make sure to show you my side as a balladeer as well.”

Regarding his activities as a trot singer, he emphasized, “I want to be remembered as an artist who gives his best in every genre. Asking whether it’s ballads or trot feels like asking ‘Do you like mom or dad more?’ Both are precious to me, so I will do my best in both.”
