In the May 15 episode of MBC’s daily drama ‘First Man’, Oh Jang-mi (Ham Eun-jung) managed to get her hands on a USB hidden by Ma Seo-rin (Ham Eun-jung).
Chae Hwa-young, who knows that Jung Sook-hee (Jung So-young) is actually Chairman Ma’s (Lee Hyo-jung) daughter, pushed Sook-hee while she was bringing soybean paste stew. The table became a mess, and Chairman Ma’s sister-in-law was injured. Although Sook-hee claimed, “I didn’t do it,” Chairman Ma ordered Oh Jang-mi to take Sook-hee away.
Suspecting that Chairman Ma’s son, Ma Dong-seok, was adopted, Chae Hwa-young confirmed the truth with the sister-in-law. The sister-in-law revealed, “After losing a daughter, my brother-in-law adopted Dong-seok,” and mentioned that Jung Sook-hee resembles the sister. However, Chae Hwa-young stopped her from telling Chairman Ma, citing his health and saying, “Make sure he never hears about this. He hates that woman.”
After returning home, Jung Sook-hee told Oh Jang-mi that Chae Hwa-young had pushed her. When Chae Hwa-young arrived, Sook-hee screamed “Thief!” and attacked her. In response, Chae Hwa-young grabbed Sook-hee’s hair and claimed, “My child died because of you. You’re the murderer!” Eventually, Oh Tae-pyung (Lee Ki-chang) kicked Chae Hwa-young out, throwing salt and shouting, “Don’t ever come back. Get lost!”
Lee Kang-hyuk (Lee Jae-hwang) suggested to a nervous Chae Hwa-young that they leave together with Kang Jun-ho (Park Gun-il). When she protested, asking why they should live in hiding, Lee Kang-hyuk pleaded, “Do you think Chairman Ma will leave you alone? I love you. Jun-ho is my son. I want to live as a family without worrying about what others think.”
As Lee Kang-hyuk desperately asked, “Why can’t it be me?” Chae Hwa-young hurt him by saying, “Professor Kang is sophisticated. He’s not vulgar and ignorant like you.” She once again denied the relationship between Kang Jun-ho and Lee Kang-hyuk. Lee Kang-hyuk responded, “The DNA test is done and he is my son, but if you say he’s not, then he’s not.”
Chae Hwa-young visited a side-dish shop to steal a necklace from Jung Sook-hee, but her son Kang Jun-ho happened to be there. He dragged her out before she could do anything. Meanwhile, Kang Baek-ho snapped at Kang Jun-ho, who was delusional about being destined for Oh Jang-mi, saying, “More importantly, Jang-mi despises you right now.”
Oh Jang-mi obtained Ma Seo-rin’s USB through Yang Geum-soon (An Joo-am), and Chae Hwa-young discovered that Chairman Ma is searching for someone named Park Young-mi.
