Group FLARE U revealed that they were able to grow as singers thanks to ‘Boys 2 Planet’.
FLARE U (Choi Rip-woo, Kang Woo-jin) held a media showcase on the 13th at Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their debut album ‘YOUTH ERROR’.
FLARE U is a duo consisting of Choi Rip-woo and Kang Woo-jin, both from the Mnet boy group survival program ‘Boys 2 Planet’ that aired last year. The team name FLARE U means “the moment two sparkles meet to form one light.”

‘Boys 2 Planet’ served as a stepping stone for growth for the two. Kang Woo-jin showed his strength, saying, “In the beginning of ‘Boys 2 Planet’, there were many physical and mental struggles. However, going through the program was a huge help. It became an opportunity for me to grow significantly in terms of skill and mindset. I believe I’m standing here today because of that program.” Choi Rip-woo recalled, “Through ‘Boys 2 Planet’, I learned a lot about how to put on a great performance. Looking back, it’s a beautiful and unforgettable memory.”
The title track ‘WAY 2 U’ is a hybrid pop song featuring a bouncy pluck riff and a cheerful rhythm. The new album includes a total of six tracks, including the title song, ‘Hyper’, ‘Don’t Cry’, ‘MIRACLE’, ‘WOO-HOO’, and ‘Playground’.
FLARE U’s debut album ‘YOUTH ERROR’ will be released on various music sites today at 6 PM.
