Sam Kim, Praised by IU, Releases OST for '21st Century Grand Prince's Wife' Today!

Singer-songwriter Sam Kim is set to release an OST for the drama ’21st Century Grand Prince’s Wife’.

The track, titled ‘If You Are My World’, will be available on various online music platforms today (8th) at 6 PM as OST Part 9 of the MBC Friday-Saturday drama ’21st Century Grand Prince’s Wife’.

‘If You Are My World’ already created a huge buzz after Sam Kim performed it live on IU’s YouTube content ‘Mini Palette’. IU (playing Seong Hee-joo), along with Byeon Woo-seok (Prince Ian), Yoo Su-bin (Choi Hyun), and Lee Yeon (Do Hye-jung), were all amazed. IU even praised Sam Kim as a “genius musician who is great at both singing and instruments.”

A pop ballad featuring a clean acoustic guitar sound, the song combines a restrained arrangement with Sam Kim’s signature soft and sincere vocals for a deeply immersive experience. The lyrics tell the story of two people from different worlds who gradually become everything to each other, warmly reflecting the emotional shift between Seong Hee-joo and Prince Ian, who started with a contract marriage but grew to truly love one another.

Sam Kim has built his own musical world with his unique groove, sophisticated compositions, and warm tone, earning love for his delicate emotional expression in various OSTs like ‘Goblin’, ‘Nevertheless’, and ‘Our Beloved Summer’. ‘If You Are My World’ appears during the first night scene of Seong Hee-joo and Prince Ian, adding a romantic mood and deep emotion for viewers.

Meanwhile, the MBC Friday-Saturday drama ’21st Century Grand Prince’s Wife’ (Written by Yu Ji-won, Directed by Park Jun-hwa and Bae Hee-young, Planned by Kang Dae-sun, Produced by MBC and Kakao Entertainment) is a romance about breaking social status and forging one’s own destiny, set in a fictional 21st century constitutional monarchy in Korea. It airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
