The story of the six-member a cappella group In-gong-wi-seong will be revealed on the KBS 1TV show “Songcumentary Back to the Music Season 2,” airing on the 17th at 11 PM.
Debuting in 1993, In-gong-wi-seong began as a small group within the Seoul National University mixed choir club. They are recognized as a pioneering group that brought the then-unfamiliar genre of a cappella to the mainstream music stage.

Their unique background as an “a cappella group from Seoul National University” also garnered significant attention. Their clear, pure harmonies delivered a fresh shock to the early 1990s music scene, which was dominated by electronic and dance music.
In-gong-wi-seong received immense love, with their first album recording sales of approximately 400,000 copies. They continued their activities by releasing four full-length albums and several singles.
However, team activities naturally came to a halt due to realistic reasons such as graduation, employment, military service, and studying abroad.
In this upcoming broadcast, the members, now in their 33rd year since debut, gather once again to share memories and stories about their music. Now in their middle age, the members demonstrate their unchanging friendship and musical bond as they retune the harmonies that have remained with them for a long time.
The members will also be seen revisiting the Seoul National University campus. They will candidly share the motivation behind starting a cappella, behind-the-scenes stories of their debut, episodes from their active years, and how they never let go of music in their individual lives.
The In-gong-wi-seong episode is expected to be a touching time to reflect on the passion and friendship of youth, as well as the power of music that remains unchanged over time.
