'Sing Again 2' Star Park Hyun-gyu to Release New Song 'Aurora' and Hosts Surprise Han River Busking!

Singer Park Hyun-gyu is set to showcase his first new song under his new agency!

On the 15th, agency SM C&C announced his comeback by releasing a music video teaser for the new track ‘Aurora (青春)’ on their official YouTube channel.

The teaser features an animation of a robot and a flying boy and girl. Notably, the robot and character designs incorporate motifs from traditional Korean armor and Hanbok. The video is accompanied by a snippet of Park Hyun-gyu’s vocals and a grand soundscape.

‘Aurora’ explores the theme of “incomplete youth,” using the aurora as a metaphor for the growth that comes through various conflicts.

Park Hyun-gyu, a former member of the vocal group VROMANCE, rose to fame as Singer 37 on the JTBC audition program ‘Sing Again 2,’ where he finished in 4th place. He has been active since signing an exclusive contract with SM C&C in January.

Ahead of the digital release, Park Hyun-gyu held a surprise busking performance at Yeouido Han River Park in Seoul on the 16th at 2 PM. During the event, he performed ‘Aurora’ along with songs from his time on ‘Sing Again 2’ and his days with VROMANCE.

‘Aurora’ will be officially released on various music sites on the 20th at 6 PM.
