Actor Song Joong Ki is returning to his “home” network, KBS, about 10 years after his career-defining hit ‘Descendants of the Sun’!
According to a report from Hankook Ilbo on the 13th, the new drama ‘Love Cloud’, starring Song Joong Ki and Park Ji Hyun, has been confirmed for a KBS2 weekend drama slot. The series is expected to follow ‘Moon Mu’, another highly anticipated project airing in the first half of next year. Song Joong Ki, who has been positively reviewing the role since late last year, is now officially gearing up for his return to terrestrial television.
‘Love Cloud’ is a romantic comedy that follows the story of Kang Woo Joo, a former flight instructor, and Ahn Ha Nee, an aspiring pilot. After seven years apart, the two reunite in Jeju as a controller and a pilot.
Directed by Song Min Yeop and written by the writer team Mad Rabbit, this project is expected to once again showcase Song Joong Ki’s charms as the “Rom-Com King.” Public interest is peaking since this is the first KBS drama he has chosen in a decade, following the 2016 phenomenon ‘Descendants of the Sun’ which hit a peak rating of 38% and swept across Asia.
