Actor Yoo Seung-mok has finally bagged a precious trophy after being nominated for an award for the first time since his debut!
At the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards held on the 8th, Yoo Seung-mok took home the Best Supporting Actor award in the TV category for his role in the JTBC drama ‘The Story of Manager Kim Who Works for a Large Company and Owns a Home in Seoul’. He received high praise for his realistic portrayal of the character Baek Jeong-tae.
Immediately after winning, he expressed his overwhelming emotions by opening with a line from the drama, “Nak-su, what is happening?” He continued, “This is the first time I’ve ever been nominated for any award ceremony,” adding, “Thank you for giving me such a precious award.”
Sharing his love for the character, he said, “I wanted to show a human side. He isn’t just a simple villain, but someone who built a friendship with Manager Kim over 25 years, yet is someone who inevitably has to be cast aside in reality.”
To wrap things up, he brought a laugh to the crowd by wittily adding, “I won’t get arrogant just because I won an award. Please keep calling me!”
