MBC’s variety show ‘Sora and Jinkyoung’ is stirring up heartwarming nostalgia as it follows the journey of 1st generation supermodels from the 90s as they take on Paris Fashion Week.
Lee Sora and Hong Jinkyoung arrived in the fashion capital, Paris, at the end of the episode aired on the 10th, officially kicking off their challenge. On the 11th, the production team released a main poster featuring the duo standing beneath the Eiffel Tower, ramping up anticipation for their Paris Fashion Week adventure.
Their arrival in Paris was a true rollercoaster of emotions. After sending snap photos and walking videos to local agencies, they received responses from three different agencies and successfully passed their online interviews to finally set foot on French soil. Even with the return of senior models like Naomi Campbell in recent fashion weeks, the challenge was daunting—even for Lee Sora and Hong Jinkyoung themselves—given their limited recognition abroad. However, after passing the agency interviews, they finally entered the city of their dreams. Viewers are showering the legendary supermodels with support as they clear impossible missions and get closer to being cast for Paris Fashion Week.
The sight of the two models pouring their hearts into walking practice even after their interviews was truly touching. Their desperation to make it to Paris Fashion Week was palpable as they diligently learned the latest walking techniques from model Jung So-hyun, who is roughly the age of their nieces.
