Pop star The Weeknd is finally reuniting with his Korean fans after eight long years!

The Canadian singer-songwriter first gained fame through three mixtapes released in 2011 before making his official debut in 2012. He is widely credited with bringing alternative R&B, which blends R&B, hip hop, and electronic elements, into the mainstream of popular music.
The Weeknd has topped the US Billboard singles chart with numerous hits, including “Blinding Lights” and “Starboy.” In 2023, he became the first artist to surpass 100 million monthly listeners on the global streaming platform Spotify. His hit song “Blinding Lights” even entered the Guinness World Records last August after becoming the first song to exceed 5 billion streams on Spotify.
This marks his first visit to Korea since his 2018 performance at the Gocheok Sky Dome. The upcoming show is part of his “After Hours Til Dawn” tour, which began in July 2022. Through this tour, The Weeknd has performed a total of 153 shows, attracting approximately 7.5 million viewers.
The event is part of Hyundai Card’s “Super Concert” brand. Following Coldplay in 2017 and Bruno Mars in 2023, this will be the third pop star concert hosted by “Super Concert” with a total audience capacity of over 100,000.
Japanese hip hop duo Creepy Nuts will open the show. Tickets will be available through NOL Ticket, with pre-sales for Hyundai Card members opening on the 20th at 12 PM. General sales will begin on the 21st at 12 PM.
