The band Thornapple, renowned for building their own unique musical universe, is returning this summer with a brand new musical narrative.
According to their agency MPMG Music on the 27th, Thornapple will release their new EP ‘My Century’ on all music platforms next month on the 23rd at noon. This marks the band’s first new release in approximately three years.
Formed in 2009, Thornapple debuted in 2010 with their first album ‘I keep stuttering and forgot how to fall asleep’. The four-member psychedelic and modern rock band consists of Yoon Seong-hyun (vocals and guitar), Shim Jae-hyun (bass), Hong Dong-gyun (guitar), and Bang Joseph (drums).
Boasting incredible ticket power that sells out large venues, Thornapple is often called the dream of students and office worker bands. They are celebrated for their irregular rhythms, sophisticated interlocking instrument structures, explosive sound, and vocal techniques that seamlessly transition between chest voice and falsetto.
An official from MPMG Music stated, “This EP ‘My Century’ will be a work that showcases a more expanded soundscape and bold musical experimentation than before.” They added, “Starting with the digital release, we plan to sequentially roll out various content and performances, proving a completely new direction to the fans who have waited a long time for a new album.”
Along with the new release, Thornapple is gearing up for live stages in the second half of the year. In addition to joining the lineups for major domestic festivals like the ‘2026 Seoul Park Music Festival’ and ‘Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival’, they have also teased solo concerts in Seoul and Busan this August.
