
Wanna One, ZEROBASEONE, and AND2BLE are all resuming their activities one after another. It is especially exciting to see I.O.I and Wanna One reuniting, as they were originally formed as short-term groups and had returned to their respective agencies after their activities ended.
According to the pop culture industry on the 11th, I.O.I will release their third mini album, ‘I.O.I : LOOP’, on the 19th. This reunion celebrates the 10th anniversary of their debut.
I.O.I was a project girl group formed through the Mnet audition program ‘Produce 101’ in 2016 and was active for one year. This comeback will feature nine members: Lim Nayoung, Chungha, Kim Sejeong, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Sohye, Yoo Yeonjung, Choi Yoojung, Kim Doyeon, and Jeon Somi. Kang Mina and Zhou Jieqiong will be unable to participate due to previously scheduled commitments. Following the album release, they will embark on the Asia tour ‘LOOP’, starting with a Seoul performance at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium from the 29th to the 31st, followed by stops in Bangkok, Thailand, and Hong Kong, China.
Wanna One is also meeting fans through the Mnet Plus original content ‘Wanna One Go: Back to Base’, which premiered on April 28. The content, which will be released until the 2nd of next month, is a reality program capturing the members gathering for the first time in seven years to laugh, play, and make new memories. Wanna One debuted through Mnet’s ‘Produce 101 Season 2’ in 2017 and was active as a group for two years until 2019.
ZEROBASEONE, who debuted in July 2023 through Mnet’s ‘Boys Planet’, will also release their sixth mini album, ‘Ascend-‘, on the 18th. For this new release, the group will promote with five members: Kim Tae-rae, Kim Ji-woong, Park Gun-wook, Seok Matthew, and Sung Han-bin.
Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, and Han Yujin, who left the team, have formed AND2BLE along with Yoo Seung-eon, a former member of the boy group EVNNE. They will release their first mini album, ‘Sequence 01: Curiosity’, on the 21st.
