During the press showcase for their 4th mini album ‘CEREMONY’ held on the 7th at Yes24 Wonderlock Hall in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, QWER member Siyen shared a special word to describe the meaning of this comeback.
Since their debut in 2023, QWER has captured attention with their fresh identity as a band formed by YouTube creators, scoring hits with songs like ‘Discord’, ‘My Name is Sunny’, and ‘Tears’.
‘CEREMONY’ marks the start of a new chapter for QWER, following the conclusion of Chapter 1 with last June’s 3rd mini album ‘I’m on Your Side, Even if the Whole World is Out of Tune’. The members explained that the new album title celebrates the moment they move past their meeting and growth period to fully discover the team’s identity and their own selves.
Reflecting on their journey, Siyen said, “Although there were ups and downs, I believe we finished the first chapter well by achieving growth through hard work.” She added with a smile, “The new chapter will be a time to show that we’ve become like a family, almost like making an ‘Oath of the Peach Garden’. I’ll promote with a determined spirit.”

Hina chose the keyword ‘Declaration’, stating, “After a clumsy period of being protected by adults, don’t people step out into society once they become adults with an established identity? I think QWER is in that stage right now. I will throw down a declaration that we will move forward confidently, no matter what world we face.”
Magenta, who chose ‘Ignition’ as her comeback keyword, added, “If Chapter 1 was the gestation period of lighting the fire, Chapter 2 will be the time to burn brightly.”
Chodan chose ‘Sprinting’, saying, “I chose ‘Sprinting’ to mean that we will run without getting tired based on the energy we built in Chapter 1. Since we’ve made an ‘Oath of the Peach Garden’ and thrown down a ‘Declaration’, I think all that’s left is to sprint.” She added with a laugh, “I will continue to create stages that provide more thrills.”
Meanwhile, QWER’s new album features a total of five songs, including the title track ‘CEREMONY’, as well as ‘BAD HABIT’, ‘Bunny Bunny’, ‘Our Voyage’, and ‘PIONEER’. The title track ‘CEREMONY’ blends QWER’s signature bouncy band sound with bold lyrics about breaking free from the world’s molds to live as one’s true self.
