The group held a massive showcase on the day of their release! xikers grabbed everyone’s attention by unveiling the first performance of their new title track, ‘OKay’, delivering a stunning mega crew-level performance.
Their rock-solid live vocals were also a highlight. Member Yechan shared the secret to their incredible live skills, admitting, “It’s true that the high-difficulty choreography makes us breathless,” but adding, “We always practice in the studio as if it’s the real deal. We practice until all the strength leaves our bodies.”
The members’ musical growth is also evident. Minjae, Sumin, and Yechan participated in writing lyrics for all the tracks on the album, deeply infusing xikers’ unique color into the music.
Leader Minjae reflected on his growth, saying, “In previous activities, I focused so much on how I looked that I felt I couldn’t fully show myself enjoying the stage.” He added, “Starting with this album, I worked desperately to fill those gaps and increased my participation in the album, leading to a result I’m satisfied with.”
xikers previously proved their status as 5th generation representative performers by winning two awards at the 2nd D AWARDS in February. Member Hunter shared that this was a “huge motivation” and expressed his ambition, saying, “Through these promotions, I want to try and hit number one on the music charts.”
