Yuk Jun-seo Suffers Serious Injury During Intense Battle on 'Survival King 2'

Yuk Jun-seo, a UDT-trained artist and entertainer, suffered an injury during an arm-wrestling match on ‘Survival King 2’.

In the episode of TV Chosun’s variety show ‘Survival King 2’ aired on the 20th, survival experts from four countries—Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Malaysia—faced off in a fierce competition in the jungles of Hualien, Taiwan.

The first mission was a distress challenge where teams had to find the gathering point using only a map and compass. Drawing on his UDT training experience, Yuk Jun-seo led the team, stating, “There is a flag if we go in the 160-degree direction.” He established himself as the team’s reliable action leader by climbing a tree to retrieve a key.

When the Korean and Taiwanese teams encountered each other at a river on the way to the gathering point, Kim Byung-man surged ahead to quickly create a gap, with Yuk Jun-seo and Young-hoon following close behind. The Korean team narrowly secured first place in the first mission.

The second mission was a one-on-one arm-wrestling tournament between team representatives. Yuk Jun-seo easily defeated Team Shi Kai in the first round to reach the finals. His final opponent was Yoshinari, an Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship winner. After a tense battle, Yoshinari emerged victorious, and Yuk Jun-seo suffered a serious injury as his elbow twisted.

The third mission was fire-making, an essential skill for survival. In Hualien, which is notorious for its high humidity, each team had to start a fire using only survival kits. While Kim Byung-man rushed to gather materials, saying, “We must start the fire before the humidity rises,” Yuk Jun-seo, injured from the previous arm-wrestling match, expressed extreme pain, saying, “I can’t even put on gloves.” Despite needing painkillers, Yuk Jun-seo showed his determination by returning to the mission, saying, “I will do my best,” which touched the viewers.

Kim Byung-man used his expertise to support a tree with rope so the injured Yuk Jun-seo could apply force more easily. While the survival experts fought in their own ways, the Taiwanese team claimed victory. The Korean team overcame the injury crisis to succeed in fire-making in second place. The Japanese team succeeded by nightfall, while the Malaysian team failed to start a fire, facing a crisis.

‘Survival King 2’ airs every Wednesday at 10 PM.
