The amazing story of a racing pigeon named Gugu is about to unfold.

At an apiary in Daegu, Sang-yul has found someone who needs even more attention than his tens of thousands of bees. It is a mysterious pigeon named Gugu. It all started when he happened to encounter a strange pigeon near his home.
At first, he thought it was just an ordinary pigeon. But something felt off. Instead of avoiding people, the bird actually approached him and perched on his hand. Plus, it had a ring on its ankle filled with mysterious letters and numbers. Could it be a special agent pigeon on a secret mission?
Sensing something unusual, Sang-yul took the bird in, named it Gugu, and eventually reached out to ‘TV Animal Farm’ to uncover the mystery.
While the production team was tracking the ring, an unexpected fact came to light. The numbers on Gugu’s ankle ring were actually a Japanese phone number! The team called Japan immediately, and an unbelievable story awaited them on the other end.
The owner explained that the pigeon was released a few days ago in Japan at a friend’s request and was supposed to return to Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. The straight-line distance between Gunwi, Daegu, where Gugu was found, and Sendai is about 1,200km. It is hard to believe the bird flew all the way to Korea across the sea alone.
However, it turns out this is possible for Gugu. Gugu is actually a racing pigeon, known for the incredible homing instinct to find its way home across hundreds of kilometers. Why did Gugu veer off course and end up in far-off Korea? You can find out on SBS ‘TV Animal Farm’ airing on the 17th at 9:30 AM.
