Comedian Yoon Taek is spreading heartwarming vibes with his positive influence.
Recently, a video titled “[Oji:gaek-Special] Gave a ‘ruined house’ to 30 experts gathered from across the country” was uploaded to Yoon Taek’s YouTube channel.
The video captures Yoon Taek’s activities back in January after finishing filming in Wolhodo.
While walking through a quiet residential area, Yoon Taek mentioned, “There is someone I’ve wanted to meet,” adding that he had heard the story of an elderly mother living alone in a place that felt like a ruin in Yeosu Wolhodo.
Upon entering the house, Yoon Taek held the elderly woman’s hand tightly. In a narration, he expressed his sadness, saying, “It was such a desolate house that you couldn’t feel any human warmth at all.”
After seeing the decayed ceiling, freezing floors, and mold everywhere, Yoon Taek explained that the home was “dark and hygienically unstable.”
For the mother, who had lost her husband and eldest son and hadn’t heard from her youngest son in a long time, Yoon Taek gathered volunteers, saying, “I think we should take care of her so she can live comfortably in the future.”
Yoon Taek transported a car full of materials by boat and began the renovation process with the volunteers.
He told the mother, “We’re going to tear up this flooring and put in new ones. I’ll make it so your son has a place to stay when he visits,” vowing to transform a room that had become a storage space into a cozy guest room.
Seeing the equipment brought by experts from various fields, Yoon Taek couldn’t hide his satisfaction, saying, “I feel so reassured.”
Realizing the house was in worse condition than expected, Yoon Taek decided on a major ceiling overhaul, stating, “We came here to improve her quality of life, so we can’t do this half-heartedly.” After a full day of work, more helpers arrived the next day to lend a hand.
After several days of hard work, the elderly woman was moved to tears upon seeing her clean home.
Meanwhile, Yoon Taek has been active on MBN’s ‘I Am a Natural Person’ for 15 years alongside Lee Seung-yoon.
