Director Jang Hang-jun had a cute little slip of the tongue at the Baeksang Arts Awards!

The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards took place on May 8 at COEX Hall D in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

During the second part of the ceremony, host Shin Dong-yup interviewed the guests in the audience. He asked Park Ji-hoon, who gave a great performance in the movie ‘The Man Living with the King’, “Yoo Hae-jin and Director Jang Hang-jun are right next to you. If you had to pick one of them, who would it be?”

Park Ji-hoon replied, “It feels like being asked if I like my mom or dad more, but I’ll go with Yoo Hae-jin sunbaenim. While the director trusted and liked me, I have so many happy memories of sharing energy with sunbaenim on set.” In response, Director Jang Hang-jun jokingly gave a thumbs down, acting disappointed.

Shin Dong-yup then asked Jang Hang-jun, “Do you want the Best Picture award for ‘The Man Living with the King’, or the Best Director award, which would just be great for you?”

Jang Hang-jun started by saying, “I want the Best Director award, which makes everyone happy,” but quickly realized his mistake. He corrected himself, saying, “No, the Best Picture award! I misspoke. I want the Best Picture award. The last big award I ever got was a perfect attendance award in 6th grade of elementary school. I really want a big award.”

When asked if he had a good feeling about the results, Jang Hang-jun replied, “The actors are in a great mood and condition, so I’m expecting a good result.”
