In the first episode of the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama Wonderful New World, which premiered on the 8th, we saw the chaotic first encounter between Cha Se-gye (Heo Nam-jun) and Kang Dan-shim (Lim Ji-yeon).
Kang Dan-shim, a villainess from the Joseon era who suddenly woke up in the modern world, was so disoriented that she collapsed right in front of the car Cha Se-gye was driving.
Just as Cha Se-gye was about to report her, Kang Dan-shim woke up screaming “Hell!” and jumped straight into the road. After saving her from being hit by a car, he angrily yelled, “Are you out of your mind? Who’s going to take responsibility if there’s an accident?”
Hearing this, Kang Dan-shim flew into a rage, shouting, “How dare you! You scoundrel, how dare you speak so filthily! Men and women should be separate, yet you harass a lady. Do you not fear King Yeomra?”
Things escalated quickly as Kang Dan-shim even attacked Cha Se-gye with a leaf! The two ended up in a physical brawl right in front of a crowd. I could have hit you with willful negligence.”
