Rookie group MODYSSEY is showing explosive growth, making waves across Korea, Japan, and China just one month after their debut!
MODYSSEY (Hungyu, Panzei, Lizhao, Linlin, Surun, Yiqian, Rowan) debuted on April 13 with their single ‘1.Got Hooked: An Addictive Symphony.’ Since then, they’ve been everywhere, from various Korean music shows to massive overseas stages and fan events.
On May 9, the group took the stage at ‘KCON JAPAN 2026’ held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, performing their debut track ‘HOOK.’ MODYSSEY captured the audience’s attention with their powerful choreography and high energy, leaving a strong impression on the global fans who filled the venue.
Before that, MODYSSEY wowed fans with their solid live vocals and polished performances on major music shows, starting with Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ on April 16, followed by KBS2’s ‘Music Bank,’ MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core,’ SBS’s ‘Inkigayo,’ and MBC M’s ‘Show Champion.’
The momentum continues as MODYSSEY heads to Shanghai, China, for fan signing events on May 16 and 17. After their success in Japan, they are now connecting directly with Chinese fans, drawing huge interest in their activities across Korea, China, and Japan.
Thanks to the fandom they built through Mnet’s ‘Boys 2 Planet’ and ‘Planet C: Home Race,’ MODYSSEY hit the ground running globally from day one. Proving their popularity, their debut single surpassed 300,000 copies in first-week sales on the Hanteo Chart (4/13 to 4/19), ranking 2nd among all groups that debuted in 2026.
MODYSSEY shared, “We are truly grateful for the opportunity to debut through the audition program and for the warm support and love you’ve sent us since. We are so happy to meet our fans in person in Korea, Japan, China, and beyond. We will continue to be a group that meets your expectations with even better music and performances.”
