Band ONEWE has unveiled the highlight medley for their second single, ‘點 : The Quiver’. With all members participating in the production of every track, the band is embarking on a brand new musical voyage.
On May 24, ONEWE (Yonghoon, Kanghyun, Harin, Dongmyeong, and Giuk) shared the highlight medley for ‘點 : The Quiver’ via their official YouTube channel.
The video caught fans’ attention with fairy-tale-like illustrations featuring objects like compasses and wings that capture the mood of each track.
The single includes ‘Coordinates’, which depicts a fateful meeting as two paths converge; ‘Compass’, about moving toward a single direction despite crossed fates; and ‘FLY’, a song about the longing to be remembered by someone.
The title track, ‘ICARUS’, is based on a lyrical alternative rock sound and reinterprets the story of Icarus from Greek mythology through ONEWE’s unique perspective. The song delivers a deep lingering impression with layered choruses and guitar sounds that explode toward the end.
‘點 : The Quiver’ marks the beginning of ONEWE’s new “Point, Line, Plane” series. The single captures the tense vibration of a compass needle searching for coordinates and the subtle thrill of facing an unknown, unnamed world. ONEWE plans to map out the starting point of their new musical journey through a fairy-tale narrative that dances between excitement and fear.
Just like their previous works, the members are heavily involved in the credits, further solidifying ONEWE’s musical identity. Member Kanghyun took charge of the lyrics and composition for ‘ICARUS’ and ‘Coordinates’, while Dongmyeong participated in the lyrics and composition of ‘FLY’. Meanwhile, Giuk showcased his impressive musical capabilities by leading the production for all tracks on the single.
ONEWE’s second single ‘點 : The Quiver’ will be released on various music streaming platforms on May 28 at 6 PM KST.
