Professor Lee Ho-sun explained various types of “fake love” relationship addictions, including those who feel they will die if they break up, those who feel they only exist to help others, and those who simply cannot live without love.

While discussing the “I live to help” type, she shared a specific case: “There was a case where a wife in her 30s suffered from severe alcoholism, and her husband called her company to tell every kind of lie for her.”

She added, “The husband would call the company and lie, saying things like ‘My wife is sick and cannot come to work,’ and he would do anything to cover for her.”

As the studio reacted in shock, Professor Lee Ho-sun pointed out, “This is not helping. Excessive help reduces the other person’s independence. This is a pathological type of relationship addiction,” adding that such relationships are “unhealthy.”
