“I’ll Do Everything That Comes My Way!” Han Sun-hwa Radiates Positive Energy in New Interview

Actress Han Sun-hwa is showing off her incredible positive energy!

On the afternoon of the 6th, Han Sun-hwa sat down for an interview at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, to share various stories about her movie ‘Teaching Practice’ (directed by Kim Min-ha). ‘Teaching Practice’ is a high school horror-lovely comedy featuring Eun-kyung, a passionate MZ student teacher who must face a “death mock exam” against a CSAT ghost, alongside girls from a black magic club. Even before its official release, the film garnered huge attention by sweeping the Best Film and Best Actor awards at the 29th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.

Having established herself as a “trustworthy actress” through various works such as the drama ‘Work Later, Drink Now’ and the movies ‘Pilot’ and ‘Sweet & Sour’, Han Sun-hwa takes on a new side of herself by playing a student teacher in this project.

Han Sun-hwa opened up, saying, “The movie was filmed last June, and I’m grateful it’s being released so soon. Since I played the role of a student teacher, it’s even more meaningful and gives me a sense of mission to have it release in May, which is Teacher’s Day.”

She continued, “When I first received the scenario, it was a format I’d never seen before. I was surprised when I first saw ‘Work Later, Drink Now’, but this script was even more surprising. I wondered how to bring the lines to life and what tone and manner to use, so I met with the director. I found that the director was very precise. Their vision was clear and their directing style was very distinct, so I didn’t feel anxious. It was a fresh genre I’d never encountered, and my curiosity led me to choose this scenario.”

Always exploring new roles across various genres, Han Sun-hwa laughed and said, “I’ll do everything that comes my way!” She added, “I’m grateful that people keep seeking me out. Acting is becoming more and more fun. While acting with talented people, I find myself wanting to act like them. There are so many elements that inspire me while acting. I think my love for acting is my driving force.”

When asked about characters she wants to challenge in the future, she added, “There are so many things I haven’t tried, so I want to do them all. I’m ambitious about genres and characters I haven’t experienced yet. But if I had to pick one, I definitely want to try an action role before I turn forty.”

Meanwhile, ‘Teaching Practice’ is set to be released on the 13th.
