Park Bo-young has claimed the Excellence Award, beating out a lineup of incredibly talented nominees!
The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards took place on the 8th at COEX D Hall in Gangnam, Seoul. The ceremony was hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Park Bo-gum, and Suzy, and was broadcast live on JTBC, JTBC2, JTBC4, and Chzzk.
The nominees for Best Actress in the TV category included Kim Go-eun (Netflix’s ‘Eunjung and Sangyeon’), Park Bo-young (tvN’s ‘Unknown Seoul’), Park Ji-hyun (Netflix’s ‘Eunjung and Sangyeon’), Shin Hye-sun (Netflix’s ‘Lady Dua’), and Im Yoon-ah (tvN’s ‘Tyrant’s Chef’).

An emotional Park Bo-young shared, “I’m reminded of the theme of our drama, which asked if there’s ever a time when someone else’s life looks better than your own. While my life might look great to some, I’ve also felt that others had better lives. I think I only saw their talent and not their hard work. There were many times when I felt overwhelmed and struggled to prove my own value in every moment. Seeing such amazing actors around me made me not want to fall behind and fueled a competitive, perhaps jagged, heart that pushed me to work harder. I want to express my respect to the actors who have been such wonderful, healthy competitors,” she said through tears.
She added, “To my beloved mom and dad, if there is a next life, I want to be born as your daughter again.”
